Pediatric Primary Care in St. George, Utah

A familiar place for your child’s everyday illnesses, growth and development questions, and routine check-ins.

Care that grows with your child

Children’s health needs change quickly. One month the question is a cough that won’t go away; the next, it’s sleep, eating or how your child is developing. Pediatric primary care gives parents one place to bring those questions.

At Peak Medical Clinic in St. George, pediatric care is part of family medicine. Seeing the same practice over time lets your provider learn your child’s history and helps your child feel more at ease during visits.

Care your child’s visits may include

Depending on your child’s age and needs, care may include:

  • Routine wellness visits
  • Growth and development reviews
  • Sick visits for common illnesses
  • Age-appropriate screenings
  • Nutrition and healthy habit discussions
  • Follow-up for ongoing health concerns

Questions parents often bring

  • Is this illness something that needs a visit?
  • Is my child growing and developing as expected?
  • How are my child’s sleep, eating and energy?
  • Which preventive care or vaccines may be due?
  • What should we watch for at home after a visit?

Helping a visit go smoothly

If you can, jot down when symptoms started, any medications or remedies you’ve tried, and questions you want to ask. Bringing any vaccine records you have can also help.

Letting your child know what to expect, in simple words, may make the visit easier. A comfort item is welcome.

Before you call

Please call the clinic to ask whether a visit for your child’s age and concern can be scheduled. If your child has trouble breathing, is very hard to wake, or you believe it is an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

For a new illness that needs attention soon, Same-Day Sick Visits explains how to ask about an appointment.

If your child needs a form for school or a sports team, see School & Sports Physicals.
